When you play tribal flame you will be playing as at least one tribe. I've created a tribe page so you can see the creatures and read a small section on their lifestyles. So Welcome the first tribe, the Kora tribe.

These are the basic layouts for cards. Their are 3 types of cards in the game, units, leaders, and tactics. Note that these will not be real cards, they were created so I could have an initial design for the card types. The design of the characters are taken from some of my earlier artwork which you can see here at my deviant art page. I do have a general idea of how the rules of the game work now but I wanted to create some basic cards to use as pictures in the user guide to make it easier to understand. These are the results so I thought I'd post them and explain a little bit about the type of cards in the game.
Unit card: They have a health bar on both sides of the card, once their health is depleted the card is destroyed. Units have a battle rating, which is the number in the box with the lightning bolt. This determines how strong the card is. A unit card can only attack cards with a lower power ratting than itself. Units also have 2 badges at the top of the description box. The first is to represent the units tribe, and the second is to represent it's profession. (tribes and professions will be explained in later posts).
Leader card: Leader cards have two purposes The first is to be your main health, if your leader dies it's game over. The second is to determine what unit cards can be played. A unit card can only be played if it is part of the same tribe as your current leader.
Leaders have health bars but are unable to attack and so have no battle rating. A leader has no profession and it's tribe is shown via the badges on the card.
Tactic card: They are used to temporarily alter rules and sway the flow of battle. If a tactic is exclusive to a tribe it may have a watermark badge behind the description (similar to a leader).
I'm currently working on the story of the tribes, and the rules itself. When I make something that's a little bit more presentable (and legible) then random notes and doodles in my book I'll post again. :)

The begining
Hello world! This blog will be used to track my progress in creating my own trading card game, Tribal Flames. I plan to be posting rules, cards and artwork created for the game.
Despite only just starting to create the game I plan to update this blog often with my progress.Comments are appreciated at all stages of development. Eventually The rules and cards will be released as a print and play pack, so anyone can play.
